We will take a leisurely ride along established cycle ways to visit the highlights listed below.

Expect a story or two on each along the way!

Tours run daily from 10 am to approximately 1pm.

Private Personalised Tours

We are available to do private tours which can be tailored to your wishes. Times and route can be flexible. Private tours can be a good option for families with children.

Children

Children who are at least 10 years old and competent riders are allowed on the tours and are the responsibility of an accompanying adult(s). It is also encouraged for these riders to stay close to the lead tour guide for safety. We have a limited number of children's bikes.

What To Expect...

Please arrive at the meeting point as indicated in the booking confirmation email 15 minutes before the start of the tour so we can adjust the bike seats etc, answer any questions you may have, and also give you a quick safety briefing.

Helmets are available on request (please indicate S/M/L/XL when booking) as part of the booking process online although it is not UK law to be required to wear one. You are welcome to bring your own helmet too. 

Please always listen to your guides instructions. We are there to keep you safe and make the experience fun and easy as possible.  

Each bike has a basket or storage compartment for water or other belongings.

What to bring and how to prepare...

Its is advisable to wear enough layers in the colder months and an appropriate jacket / coat. 

It is also advised to wear closed shoes for safety. In the summer months rigid sandals or open footwear are acceptable but flip flops are not advised. This is for your own well-being and safety. 

In the event of rain, water resistant ponchos with hoods will be provided to continue the tour.

Please be advised that there is a toilet stop along the route, but it is wise to use one before arriving.

If you need any small luggage or other items of reasonable size to be stored please arrive 20 minutes before start of tour. 

TOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Changes or cancellations to bookings can be made up to 24 hours in advance.

All tours start at scheduled time therefore if you are late or do not show up then this is non-refundable.

In the event of weather not permitting the tour you may change dates at no charge or have a refund in full.

All riders are expected to follow the rules of the Highway Code UK which includes stopping for all red lights, and pedestrians at zebra crossings. In the UK traffic travels on the left!

Any behaviour which disrupts tours including intoxication, abuse, harassment, endangerment to oneself or others or disobeying tour guides instructions will result in concerned individuals having tours terminated with no recompense.

By accepting our terms and conditions riders are confirming that they are competent on bicycles in traffic and Big City Bike Tours accepts no responsibility for loss or injury except where caused by our negligence.

Max rider weight: 120kg or 264lbs
